This is packaged as one session, so one event in the Bozo Bus Building. The cake suggests that a party for Pat Sommers coming back from somewhere might have been the occasion.
The other question is, can anybody pin down which apartment it's in? That's probably not important, but might be interesting. It might be more than one, parties overflowing was the norm at the Boz.
The directory on DavE's disks that I found these in suggested they might be from the 1988 Fallcon. They aren't; that was Consensus*, and the badge for that is online, and it does not match the badges people are wearing in these pictures.
But pretty clearly a convention in Minneapolis. Can anybody pinpoint the hotel? Does that limit what nearby years it could be the fallcon from? Or the badges? I've checked a few years each direction and only some have badges online, but the ones I've found online clearly don't match these.

Labeled in the directory name as a collation. And there's actually one photo that fits a collation (it's stapling, not collating).
The thickness of the sets of pages, and the number of them, are compatible with a Minneapa collation. I haven't checked to see if I can match that cover (which we can't see too well) anywhere near the fall of 1988. But that could be a lot of covers to look over. (Many are colored and could be very easily ruled out.)
But it could be something else of course.
It's in some fannish household. Anybody have a clue which one? Cross-checking that against Minn-StF meetings and Minneapa collations might help (but 1988, which it might be near, is long enough ago that our records aren't too good).
